The station for the subway into the city was across the plaza from the airport. Munich airport is a beauty structurally. If you are ever there take time to appreciate it.
The S Bahn is the subway into the city. As I was going Mittenwald and was able to get (well husband got it for me off of the internet) the train schedule it was relatively easy. - That and after asking a few people for help, But relatively easy just the same.
Yes, it is an impressive structure!
